BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Philoxenos, circa 125-110 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 7.52 g, 12 h), Indian standard, uncertain mint in Paropamisadai or Gandhara. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANIKHTOΥ / ΦIΛOΞENOY Diademed and draped bust of Philoxenos to right. Rev. 'Maharajasa apadihatasa Philasinasa' ('of the Great King Philoxenos the Unconquered' in Karoshti) Philoxenos on horseback to right; to lower right, monogram. Bopearachchi 3E. HGC 12, 267. Somewhat crystallized and with some flan faults on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
